This Week on Windows: Skype, Mixer, and Ghost in the Shell

this week on Windows we're all about new Skype features Windows Store goodness and getting started with mixers so let's start this week off with a flood so if you log on to your skype lately you may have noticed some changes in fact Skype recently got a major update to make connecting with your friends and family easier and more personal so with the new Skype you can express yourself like never before now you can customize your chat with your favorite colors and react to specific messages with emoticons plus now it's easier than ever to share files videos photos links and more directly to Skype so please click on the windows share charm and select Skype for more on this update check out the new Skype comm feature page as well as the windows blog did you know there's a streaming service that could put you in the middle of the action with sub-second latency and faster-than-light for small time that means you're able to influence streams and interact with your fans in real time we call this new service mixer to get started launch your web browser and jump over to mixer comm featured streams are available right from the home page or you can sort streams by game using the games menu on the left hand side of the home page now it's a good time to talk sparks those are these things and you can earn them by logging in with your Microsoft account so you can spend sparks on things dreamer set up like sound boards which allow you to send down to a stream midstream now say you want to start broadcasting a mixer stream of your own simply log into mixer launch a game press the windows logo key + G on your Windows 10 PC to open the game bars and from there press the broadcast button and choose how you want your stream to look then press Start to start your stream now this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to mixer settings and preferences to learn more about its ultimate streaming service check out the windows blog and mixer calm happy streaming this week was also a big one in the Windows Store starting with the continuation of anime month keep it in the movies and TV section of the Windows Store for anime steals and deals as we celebrate anime all month long then meet major as you in mind inside an artificial body with an axe to grind everything they told you was a lie you are the family remember it Scarlett Johansson heads up this futuristic sci-fi thriller ghost in the shell is available now in the movies and TV section of the Windows Store two weeks before blu-ray do you want for me that's our show for this time suck but remember to keep it right here each and every week I'm Molly and I am Kate and thanks for watching this week on windows
